fabrication

As a project manager and fabricator for several companies and initiatives (including the woodshops of Michael Hurwitz, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Conservation Department and a five-year stint as a Project Manager at Staack Moore Woodworking), Emily has executed a range of large-scale architectural woodworking and small-scale furniture pieces throughout Philadelphia and along the East Coast.

Designed by Martin Puryear, Emily was part of a two-person team that fabricated this bench with Michael Hurwitz for the Glenstone Museum.

Through her work with the non-profit Tiny WPA, Emily led Building Heroes of all ages through the fabrication of custom-designed, commissioned pieces. Each project supported the empowerment and skills development of teens and adults in West Philadelphia.
