In the 1950’s, Emily’s late-grandparents forested a small plot of land in Western New York with native trees. She grew up returning to this family farm every summer. In anticipation of the Emerald Ash Borer, Emily began harvesting ash trees with a neighbor in 2014. She continues to build pieces with trees from “the Farm”.
